Hi there, I am Abigail Bates: writer + creator + child of the ocean. My writing glimpses into the different lives I have lived, from LA to Australia, and most recently, in my hometown of San Diego. I find beauty in the rhythm of life: in the tides + the moon + the connection to my female body. Whether I am pretending to surf, swimming into the vast unknown, or simply walking barefoot along the shore, the ocean is my compass and my constant muse. It is the magic that fills me as the saltwater kisses my skin. As I bask under the sun, collecting fragments of sea glass where the ocean kisses the shore, I try to take a piece of it all home with me.

I am also deeply passionate about the environment, the healing power of nutrition, and the wisdom found in holistic medicine. Lately, I have been turning more towards writing—where I weave together my love for nature, the human spirit, and connect more with my beautiful community.
